Seton College was established in God's name by the Daughters of Charity of St. Elizabeth Seton in 1964 to promote the spiritual, intellectual, social and emotional development of students. The College is currently transitioning to closure in 2024.
During the transition phase, Seton College will continue to provide leadership in personally tailored, vocationally driven education that is developed by learning specialists with a focus on literacy and numeracy. Students will continue to experience positive outcomes in literacy and numeracy and the vocational education and experience they require to transition confidently from school into the workforce or further study.
Seton will continue as a place of personalised learning with cohort numbers carefully managed where every student is known by name, respected as an individual, and valued as part of the community.
The three defining elements of a Seton College Education will continue:
Literacy and Numeracy Focus;
Pathways Planning (including QCE options if desired) and Vocational Education and Training Years 10 – 12;
Pastoral care, personal development and individual support for all students at a level distinctive from mainstream schooling.
We will continue to offer within the Australian Curriculum:
